You must be 18 years to come inside.                                                                                                                       There are no waiters, at the pub.  The costumers have to order food and drinks, all by themselves. The difference between Danish and English food are huge. Most of their foods are from various cultures. Many People from different countries moves to England. After some years of living, their cultures of food become famous.   The British people are well- known about Fish and Chips.  Some food sells at the street, it can be eaten from a newspaper with salt and malt vinegar.

Children between the ages of 5 and 16 must go to school, the average school class in primary school has 26 students.
England has government-funded schools and private schools where the parents pay the fees.
Everyone in an English school, has to wear school uniforms, there are many arguments for and against school uniforms, most people say that uniforms save money, because parents don't have to spend a lot of money on designer labels and students don't tease each other for wearing the wrong clothes, but the reasons against school uniforms are that everyone look alike and the students lose their individuality, and they do not learn to deal with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Most of the English children go to state schools, while only 6% go to private schools, this might be because of the school fees are very expensive, the average cost for a child at a private school, £6000 per year, which is almost the same as 53.000 DKK, and the cost of a year at boarding school is about double the amount.

The most famous universities in England are Oxford and Cambridge, they have always attracted the best brains, and a degree from one of these universities can open many doors in life.
Sport plays a very important part of university life, and there are many competitions between the universities.
Traditionally, the Oxford teams wear dark blue and Cambridge wear light blue clothes, the media covers several of these sports events.

Sport in England

Sports
England has some great sports stars - and teams, they have some of the best football teams in the world for ex: Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool etc. They have other great sportsmen too, for example Wayne Rooney and David Bechham (football players), Euan Burton (judo), Mark Cueto (rugby). They are also the inventors of cricket; England was terrified when they lost to Australia in cricket in 1882, because they had always been the best.

Football and rugby are also English games. They are both some of the biggest sports in the world.
English competitors won a lot of world cups, world championships etc.

In England you can also see people playing lawn bowling, it’s not as famous. It’s mostly elderly people that play. It’s played in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

London today

London is going green!
The air in London is more clean now than it used to be. They are creating new parks, with a lot of trees and flowers. They are working on cleaning the city. They encourage the big cars and trucks not too drive through London.

Tall, taller and tallest.
Until the 1960's the buildings in London weren't so high. They were about 30 metres tall.
Today London is full of skyscrabers and the tallest building is the Canary Wharf Tower, which is 235 metres tall. The Canary Wharf Towers, is located in the old docklands. It's used as a business place.

The old docklands.
The reason why there is room for offices and flats in the old docklands, is because the modern container ships are too big for the docks. So now the port has moved to Tilbury. The docklands was a place, where the ships came in and delivered stuff from other countries.

Tourists in London.
Tourists love going to London, infact 27 million visitors come to London each year.
That's why they have a lot of restaurants and hotels.

3 things you have to see in London:

3 things you have to do in London:
